Father’s Day

The sermon wove together personal reflection, gratitude for ministry supporters, and a Father’s Day call to action using the acrostic F-A-T-H-E-R.

Fathers are urged to live out faith, availability, teaching, humility, encouragement, and responsibility as their legacy, shaping their children and nation through godly example.

Mission Sunday

The message (Acts 13:1–3) focuses on the church’s core identity: mission—not a program but the DNA of who we are.

Antioch’s diverse leaders show the church is meant to be multiethnic, united in Christ.

The Holy Spirit is the CEO of missions—He initiates, directs, and empowers; our role is to listen and obey.

Some are called to go, others to stay and support—both essential; the whole church shares responsibility.

Mission starts locally (neighbors, workplace, volunteering) and extends globally.

Even small, faithful acts (like an usher encouraging Billy Graham) can have huge eternal impact.

Call to action: Pause, reflect, recommit—“Here am I, send me.” Every believer has a role—go, give, serve, pray.

His Faithful Love Endures Forever.

A sermon on Psalm 136 centers on God’s steadfast “hesed” love—loyal, covenant love that “endures forever.”

Ps. Troy explains the psalm’s call-and-response (Great Hallel) format, highlighting God’s goodness and supreme authority (“God of gods,” “Lord of lords”).

The psalm recounts God’s faithful acts—from creation to the exodus, wilderness leading, victories over kings, and daily provision—showing his love in every circumstance, including when people are off-track.

Tied to Passover and ultimately fulfilled in Jesus’ sacrificial love, this truth is offered as a way to renew minds in hardship. The message ends with prayer, inviting people to receive and embody God’s enduring love and to respond with gratitude, worship, and loving others.

How To Tell Your Testimony

This message focused on living out 1 Thessalonians 5: “pray without ceasing.” Prayer isn’t about nonstop words, but a continual readiness—praying immediately in the moment and seeking opportunities to share faith.
Pastor Karl emphasized the power of testimonies: being ready to share in daily life, recording what God has done, and pointing every story back to Jesus. Testimonies encourage others, build faith, and demonstrate God’s work in real ways.
A practical challenge was given to create a 60-second testimony—four simple, Christ-centered points that anyone can share with honesty and boldness. Throughout the service, members shared powerful stories of healing, transformation, and God’s faithfulness.
The message closed with a reminder that everyone has a story worth sharing. Testimonies are an invitation for others to know Jesus, and each of us can be the answer to someone else’s prayer.
